Tennessee tight end Miles Kitselman announces return for another season with Vols
Tight end Miles Kitselman is officially returning for another season at Tennessee. Kitselman announced the news on social media on Monday afternoon.
“Got some unfinished business,” Kitselman wrote on Instagram, adding “let’s run it back” in the caption.
Kitselman was one of Tennessee’s biggest surprises this season, catching 22 passes for 301 yards and four touchdowns to lead the tight end room.

He transferred from Alabama last January and was one of two tight end additions out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, alongside Holden Staes, who caught 15 passes for 131 yards and one touchdowns. Staes, a Notre Dame transfer, reentered the NCAA Transfer Portal last week.
Kitselman had season highs with six catches for 97 yards and a touchdown in the win over Kentucky on November 2 at Neyland Stadium. He caught four passes for 46 yards at Georgia on November 16 and also scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
He had three catches for 39 yards and at touchdown in the 51-10 win over North Carolina State in the Duke’s Mayo Classic in Charlotte in September and also had touchdowns against Kent State and Vanderbilt.
Kitselman was one of three tight ends on roster this season, alongside Staes and Ethan Davis, who caught 13 passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns during his redshirt freshman season.
Four-star tight end DaSaahn Brame signed with Tennessee in the 2025 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4.5, 225-pound Brame, a former Oregon commitment out of Derby, Kansas, was ranked No. 78 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 4 tight end in the country and the No. 3 overall player in the state of Kansas.

Kitselman played two seasons at Alabama before transferring to Tennessee. In 19 games with the Crimson Tide he caught just two passes for 18 yards, with both catches coming during the 2022 season.
Kitselman, a native of Lyndon, Kansas, played at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas in 2021. He was a three-star prospect after playing on both the offensive and defensive line at Lyndon High School in Kansas.

Staes is one of 12 Tennessee players who are currently in or entered the NCAA Transfer Portal during the December window. Also in the portal is freshman offensive lineman Vysen Lang, sophomore running back Khalifa Keith, redshirt sophomore receiver Chas Nimrod, redshirt freshman receiver Nathan Leacock, sophomore running back Cam Seldon, redshirt sophomore defensive back Christian Harrison and redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Jayson Jenkins. Junior linebacker Kalib Perry is also entering the portal.
Redshirt freshman Jalen Smith is headed to Mississippi State, redshirt freshman defensive back Jordan Matthews signed with Vanderbilt and redshirt sophomore receiver Kaleb Webb landed at Maryland.
Staes had a season-high 30 yards against UTEP in November and three catches against Kentucky. He had at least one reception in all but three games this season, including multiple receptions in five games.
