Tennessee football is up to No. 14 overall in ESPN’s Football Power Index, the fifth-highest SEC team in the ranking with the analytics-based metric projecting the Vols to finish the regular season with a 9-3 record.

The FPI gives Tennessee a 19.0% chance to win its remaining three games against Missouri, Georgia and Vanderbilt. They Vols, currently tied with Mizzou for second in the SEC East, have a 7.7% chance to win the division, a 2.7% chance to win the SEC championship and an 0.3% chance to make the four-team College Football Playoff.

Tennessee (7-2, 3-2 SEC) goes back on the road this week to face Missouri (7-2, 3-2) on Saturday at Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo. The Tigers lost 30-21 to No. 1 Georgia on Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens.

Missouri, ranked 24th in the FPI, host Florida next week and end the regular season at Arkansas. Georgia, ranked sixth in the FPI, play Ole Miss Saturday night and are at Georgia Tech on November 25.

Tennessee needs an Ole Miss win over Georgia at Sanford Stadium in Athens, paired with a win of its own at Missouri, to stay alive in the SEC East.
