Where Tennessee is ranked in the updated AP Top 25, Coaches Poll after the loss at Arkansas
Tennessee Football dropped to No. 8 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 9 in Sunday afternoon’s updated Coaches Poll following the 19-14 loss to Arkansas Saturday night at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. The Vols dropped four spots in the AP Top 25 and five spots in the Coaches Poll.
Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) now returns home to Neyland Stadium to host four home games over a five-week stretch, starting with Saturday night’s game against Florida.
Nico Iamaleava completed 16 of 27 passes for 156 yards in the loss at Arkansas and the Vols ran 36 times as a team for 176 yards and two touchdowns. The offense had two touchdown drives to start the third quarter, after being shutout in the first half, punted seven times and turned the ball over on downs twice, including the final play of the game when Iamaleava scrambled out of bounds as time expired.
Arkansas scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:17 left, rallying to win after trailing 14-3 five minutes into the second half.

Florida improved to 3-2 with 24-13 win over UCF
Florida beat UCF 24-13 Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, building a 24-3 lead behind 19-for-23 passing from Graham Mertz, who threw for 179 yards and a touchdown. The Gators rushed for 130 yards as a team with two touchdowns on the ground.
Freshman quarterback DJ Lagway was 4-for-4 passing for 50 yards while Montrell Johnson led Florida (3-2, 2-2 SEC) on the ground with 10 rushes for 54 yards and a touchdown. Chimere Dike caught four passes for 88 yards, Tank Hawkins had seven catches for 60 yards and Elijah Badger had three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown.

The Gators started the season with a 41-17 home loss to Miami and lost 33-20 to Texas A&M two weeks later in Gainesville. Florida beat Samford 45-7 in Week 2 and won 45-28 at Mississippi State two weeks ago.
Where Tennessee Football has been ranked this season
Tennessee started the season ranked No. 15 in both the Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25.
The Vols had made steady climbs in both rankings after lopsided wins over Chattanooga (69-3), North Carolina State (51-10) and Kent State (71-0) and the 25-15 win at Oklahoma.
The AP Poll moved Tennessee up to No. 14 in Week 2, No. 7 in Week 3, No. 6 in Week 4 and No. 5 two weeks ago. The Coaches Poll had the Vols at No. 12 in Week 2, No. 9 in Week 3, No. 7 in Week 4 and No. 6 two weeks ago.
Tennessee moved up one spot to No. 4 in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll last week during the open date.
