Tennessee Football moved up three spots in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the Coaches Poll, going up to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 and No. 8 in the Coaches Poll after Saturday’s Senior Day win over UTEP.
The Vols (9-2, 5-2 SEC) go to Vanderbilt (6-5, 3-4) on Saturday (Noon Eastern Time, ABC) for the regular-season finale at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville. Vandy lost 24-17 at LSU Saturday night in Baton Rouge.
Tennessee beat UTEP 56-0 at Neyland Stadium after Nico Iamaleava completed 17 of 23 passes for 209 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Dylan Sampson rushed 11 times for 77 yards and a touchdown and freshman Peyton Lewis had seven carries for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
Bru McCoy caught four passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns and Squirrel White and Ethan Davis also had touchdown catches.

Tennessee dropped to No. 10 in the AP Top 25 and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll after the 31-17 loss at Georgia. The College Football Playoff top 25 on Tuesday dropped the Vols to No. 11 and to the first team out of the 12-team playoff bracket, based on the rankings and projections.

Last week Tennessee went ranked No. 4 in the Coaches Poll, No. 6 in the AP Top 25 and No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rnakings. The Vols were seeded No. 8 in the 12-team playoff bracket update Tuesday.
Tennessee was also ranked No. 4 in the AP Top 25 and No. 5 in the Coaches Poll before the 19-14 loss at Arkansas on October 5, then fell to No. 8 in both polls afterward.
The Vols had made steady climbs early in the season in both rankings after lopsided wins over Chattanooga (69-3), North Carolina State (51-10) and Kent State (71-0) and the 25-15 win at Oklahoma.
The Vols started the year ranked No. 15 in both the Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25.
The AP Poll moved Tennessee up to No. 14 in Week 2, No. 7 in Week 3, No. 6 in Week 4 and No. 5 in Week 5. The Coaches Poll had the Vols at No. 12 in Week 2, No. 9 in Week 3, No. 7 in Week 4 and No. 6 in Week 5. The Vols moved up one spot to No. 4 in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll the first open date of the season.
