Tennessee Football commit Tyreek King was one of the biggest standouts at the Rivals Five-Star event in Indianapolis, which consisted of top prospects from the 2026, 2027 and 2028 classes. King, the four-star wide receiver, was ranked No. 6 by On3 on the list of top performers.

Tyreek King made the most big plays we saw from a receiver at Rivals Five-Star,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “King was good during 1-on-1s after being a late arrival. He picked things up during 7-on-7.

“The Tennessee pledge was a touchdown waiting to happen throughout the afternoon. King threatened every level of the field with his burst off the line, long speed, and elite change of direction.”

‘The Knoxville native has a ton of wiggle within his routes’

King, who has been committed to Tennessee since October 31, is ranked No. 75 overall in the On3 Ratings. He’s the No. 10 wide receiver in the class and the No. 5 overall player in the state of Tennessee, out of Knoxville’s Catholic High School.

“The Knoxville native has a ton of wiggle within his routes,” Power added. “He showed excellent speed after the catch, taking a crossing route before weaving through the defense for an impressive touchdown. He later got open on a corner route during the final 7-on-7 game, tracking the ball over his shoulder while getting his feet down in bounds.”

King is one of nine commitments in Tennessee’s 2026 recruiting class and is he the third highest-rated commit, behind only five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon and four-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda. The class is ranked No. 15 nationally and No. 7 in the SEC with a class score of 89.30.

King earlier this month was one of 18 elite wide receiver prospects who was invited to Justin Jefferson’s Flight School Camp in Florida. The three-day camp, which is held at IMG Academy, is billed as hosting the top 18 high school receivers across the country.

He announced in May that he was officially shutting down his recruitment, further cementing his commitment to Tennessee.

Tyreek King moved up 48 spots in most recent On3 rankings update

King was one of the biggest climbers in the most recent On300 rankings update, jumping up 48 spots while going from No. 124 overall to No. 76.

He is ranked No. 121 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking, where he is the No. 17 wide receiver and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Tennessee.

“King is one of the better athletes at receiver in the 2026 cycle, Power wrote in his scouting report for King. “We had a chance to see him in person at the Nashville Under Armour camp as well. And we just came away impressed with the twitch and the explosion.

“He has been a productive, borderline dominant receiver at the high school level. And seeing him against that competition helped us understand where he stacks up in the group of wideouts. He’s a really explosive receiver who can line up all over the formation, can win both deep and underneath. And he’s dangerous with the ball in his hands.”
