Start times and TV: What we know so far about Tennessee Football's 2024 schedule
Kickoff times and TV information for Tennessee Football’s first three games are set. The season-opener against Chattanooga will be a 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time start, the North Carolina State game Charlotte is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and Kent State will kick at 7:45 p.m. ET.
The Chattanooga game on August 31 at Neyland Stadium will be on SEC Network. The neutral-site game against N.C. State in the Duke’s Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on September 7 will be on ABC and the night game against Kent State a week later in Knoxville will also be an SEC Network game.
The SEC this season moves to ABC, ending its longtime run on CBS, and will bring new kickoff times and format for the announcement of kickoff times.
SEC will reportedly announce ‘kickoff times for majority of all games’ by late June
In years past, the league would announce kickoff times and TV designations two weeks in advance during the season. Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reported Wednesday that fans won’t have to wait that long moving forward.
“(The) SEC will also have kickoff times for majority of all games announce by late June,” McMurphy posted on social media.
There’s also one Tennessee kickoff time that can already be eliminated in October. McMurphy reported on Thursday that the Texas-Oklahoma game on October 12, the first edition of the Red River Rivalry as an SEC game, will be a 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time start.
The Vols host Florida on October 12 at Neyland Stadium, the first of four straight SEC home games over a five-week span.
