Tennessee football sells more than 70,000 season tickets, less than 300 remaining
Tennessee has less than 300 season tickets remaining for the 2023 football season at Neyland Stadium. The Vols on Tuesday announced that 70,225 season tickets have been sold, 115 percent of the initial goal set by the Tennessee athletic department.
There has been a 96-percent renewal rate for season tickets and 8,996 new season tickets sold since last season, according to the Tennessee athletic department.
The Vols are coming off an 11-2 season in Year 2 under head coach Josh Heupel, ending the year with a 31-14 win over Clemson in the Capital One Orange Bowl in December at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Heupel, who has an 18-8 record in his first two season with the Vols, has breathed life into the football program with his uptempo offense. Tennessee started the season 8-0 and climbed to No. 1 in the first College Football Playoff ranking of the season.
“In an era of stadium downsizing, Vol Nation continues to send a strong message that its passion is unrivaled with over 70,000 season tickets sold and still five months until kickoff,” Tennessee athletic director Danny White said in a press release.
“We envisioned that goal by year five when we launched Rise Glorious, but Vol Nation’s unwavering support and the excitement surrounding the program allowed us to eclipse that benchmark in year one. We are ecstatic to be on the cusp of selling out our season ticket inventory!”
Rise Glorious is Tennessee’s “comprehensive strategic plan” put in place by White and his staff to hit season-ticket goals through the 2026-27 season. Last season, the Vols sold 61,490 season tickets for Neyland Stadium. The initial goal by 2026-27 was to sell more than 70,000 season tickets.
