Names of Vols who plan to go through Tennessee Senior Day celebrations
Tennessee football’s final regular season contest at Neyland stadium is set to be played at 1 o’clock p.m. eastern time against UTEP on ESPN+ or the SEC Network+.
Saturday will also serve as Senior Day the Volunteers (8-2) as the celebrations are set to take place 30 minutes prior to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. eastern time.
Of the 33 eligible players who could take part in the Senior Day festivities, 25 Vols will do so. These individuals are either COVID seniors, redshirt seniors, four-year seniors or redshirt juniors. A quick reminder that just because a certain player takes part in the Senior Day celebrations doesn’t mean they are done at Tennessee or in college football. There will be on-going conversations and evaluations as it is truly a case-by-case situation between the player and the program to determine if they want to exercise their remaining eligibility, for those who possess it.
Several players who took part in Senior Day last season returned for the 2024 campaign with COVID years or the extra season due to a prior redshirt. One would assume that some players who take part in the festivities on Saturday will also return and play next season. Some, of course, cannot as they are out of eligibility.
The players who will be taking part in Senior Day who have no eligibility remaining include: Will Brooks, John Campbell, Dayne Davis, Miles Kitselman, Jackson Lampley, Cooper Mays, Bru McCoy, Omarr Norman-Lott, Keenan Pili, Eli Purcell, Matthew Salansky, Elijah Simmons, Javontez Spraggins, Omari Thomas and Dont’e Thornton.
