Kickoff time, TV announced for Tennessee's game vs. Texas A&M
Tennessee football’s October 14 game against Texas A&M will be a 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time start and will be televised by CBS, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday. It will be the third straight home game for the Vols, following wins over UTSA and South Carolina.
Texas A&M (4-1, 2-0 SEC) beat Arkansas 34-22 Saturday in Dallas and hosts No. 11 Alabama on Saturday in the 3:30 p.m. ET SEC Game of the Week on CBS. Tennessee (4-1, 1-1) has a bye week before hosting the Aggies, then playing at Alabama on October 21.
Tennessee has played Texas A&M just twice since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012 and only four times in the history of the two programs, with both teams winning twice. The Vols lost 45-38 in overtime at Kyle Field in 2016 and lost 34-13 in Knoxville in December 2020, during the COVID-shortened season.
Tennessee beat Texas A&M 38-7 in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Day 2005 and beat the Aggies 3-0 in the Gator Bowl in December 1957.

A Closer Look: Texas A&M
Texas A&M started the season with a 52-10 win over New Mexico at Kyle Field in College Station. The Aggies lost 48-33 a week later at Miami before bouncing back with three straight wins. They beat Louisiana Monroe 49-3 and Auburn 27-10 in back-to-back home games, then beat Arkansas 34-22 Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Max Johnson was forced to take over at quarterback for A&M after Connor Weigman suffered a season-ending foot injury. Johnson has completed 37 of 59 passes for 436 yards with six touchdowns and an interception.
Le’Veon Moss and Amari Daniels lead A&M on the ground. Moss has 46 carries for 276 yards and two touchdowns while Daniels has 270 yards and two touchdowns on 49 carries.
Evan Stewart leads the team in receptions (24), yards (357) and receiving touchdowns (4), just ahead of Ainias Smith, who has 22 catches for 343 yards. Noah Thomas has four touchdown catches and 118 yards on 11 receptions.
