Tennessee football will be in its traditional home uniform — white helmets, orange jerseys and white pants —  for the first time at home this season when Texas A&M visits Neyland Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Vols announced the uniform on social media on Thursday.

No. 19 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) and Texas A&M (4-2, 2-1) are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff on CBS in front of a ‘Checker Neyland’ crowd in Knoxville.

The Vols wore their ‘Dark Mode’ alternate uniform against South Carolina on September 30 and wore orange pants and orange jerseys in the win over UTSA the previous week.

They were in orange jerseys and white pants in the 49-13 win over Virginia on September 2 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville and wore their ‘Artful Dodger’ Smokey Grey alternate uniform in the 30-13 win over Austin Peay on September 9.

Tennessee wore white helmets, white jerseys and white pants in the 29-16 loss to Florida Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville.

Alternate uniforms this season

Tennessee wore its ‘Dark Mode’ alternate uniform, featuring a black helmet with a black facemask, with an orange helmet stripe and orange Power T logos on the sides, in the 41-20 win over South Carolina two weeks ago. The black jerseys are feature orange numbers and the black pants feature two orange stripes.

Tennessee first introduced a black alternate uniform two years ago in a 45-20 win over South Carolina on October 9, 2021 at Neyland Stadium. The look included orange jerseys and orange pants but was paired with a white helmet, which had a black facemask and orange Power T’s and an orange helmet stripe, all trimmed in black.

The Vols also wear a Smokey Grey alternate as part of the Smokey Grey Series. Each season Tennessee will wear a new version of the Smokey Grey alternate as part of the Smokey Grey Series. The ‘Artful Dodger’ version worn this season paid homage to Condredge Holloway, featuring orange shoulders, a white outline around orange jersey numbers, two orange stripes on the grey pants and a thin orange helmet stripe and a grey facemask on the Smokey Grey helmet.
