Tennessee’s game against Texas San Antonio on September 23 at Neyland Stadium will kickoff at 4 p.m. Eastern Time and will be televised by SEC Network. The Southeastern Conference on Monday announced start times for Week 4 games across the league.

The 11th-ranked Vols (2-0) go on the road to open SEC play at Florida (1-1) on Saturday before returning to Knoxville to host UTSA. Tennessee has back-to-back home games against UTSA and South Carolina before an open date on October 7.

UTSA (1-1) beat Texas State 20-13 on Saturday, the same Texas State team that won at Baylor to open the season. The Roadrunners lost 17-14 at home against Houston on September 2 in their season opener.

ESPN’s Football Power Index has UTSA ranked No. 63 overall, dropping seven spots after splitting the first two games of the season and projects the Roadrunners to win eight games. The FPI dropped Tennessee from No. 12 to No. 22 after the Vols struggled in a 30-13 win over Austin Peay Saturday at Neyland Stadium in their home opener.

Jaylen Wright once again led the Vols on the ground with 13 carries for 118 yards and Jabari Small had 13 attempts of his won, finishing with 95 yards. Dylan Sampson carried just three times for eight yards.

Ramel Keyton led the team in receiving with five catches for 52 yards and a touchdown, just ahead of Bru McCoy’s five catches for 51 yards. Tight end McCallan Castles caught a 43-yard touchdown on his only catch of the game.

“We were a little bit off in particular early in the football game,” Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said Saturday night during his postgame press conference. “There’s some things, situationally, where we were off. Joe, wide receiver, combination of both things where we’re just not in sync in some critical situations.

“Third down, we gotta be better than we were tonight. We gotta be able to sustain drives and go score points in the red zone. Turnovers, not getting a fourth down, there’s a lot of things. The penalties there that took us out of those field zones. So there’s a lot of things that we can control and do at our level.”
