Look: Tennessee Football's updated win total for the 2025 season

Tennessee Football’s updated win total for the 2025 season is set at 8.5, according to odds from FanDuel. The total for the Vols was previously 9.5, before losing quarterback Nico Iamaleava to the NCAA Transfer Portal and UCLA last month.
Over 8.5 wins is -122 in the new odds while under 8.5 wins is +100.
Tennessee also went from the eighth best odds to win a national championship, at +1800, to 12th, at +3000.
The current FanDuel national title favorites are Texas and Ohio State, tied at +600, ahead of Penn State (+700), Georgia (+750) and Oregon (+900). Also ahead of the Vols are Notre Dame (+1200), Alabama (+1400), Clemson (+1400), LSU (+1900), Ole Miss (+2500) and Michigan (+2800).
Tennessee has the sixth-best odds to win the SEC at +1300. Texas is the favorite at +270, ahead of Georgia (+400), Alabama (+500), LSU (+950) and Ole Miss (+950).
Joey Aguilar’s Heisman Trophy odds set at +4500
Iamaleava previously had the second-lowest Heisman Trophy odds at +1200, but dropped to +8000 after his transfer to UCLA. Joey Aguilar’s Heisman odds are +4500 after transferring from UCLA to Tennessee and switching spots with Iamaleava.
The win total entering the 2024 season was nine wins, with the Vols finishing 10-3, making the 12-team College Football Playoff as the No. 9 seed. The season ended in a 42-17 loss at Ohio State at Ohio Stadium on December 21.

Tennessee is a 12.5-point favorite vs. Syracuse in Atlanta
After opening the season August 30 in Atlanta against Syracuse, Tennessee hosts ETSU in the home opener at Neyland Stadium on September 6. SEC play starts at home against Georgia on September 13 and UAB comes to Knoxville on September 20. The Vols go to Mississippi State on September 27 in the first SEC road game of the season.
After an open date on October 4, Tennessee hosts Arkansas (October 11) then goes to Alabama (October 18) and Kentucky (October 25). In November the Vols host Oklahoma (November 1) and New Mexico State (November 15), go to Florida (November 22) and close the regular-season schedule at home against Vanderbilt (November 29).
One early line is already out and updated for the season-opener against Syracuse, with Tennessee set as a 12.5-point favorite. The Vols were a 13.5-point favorite when the line was initially released in January.
