Watch: Tennessee shows off College Football Playoff jersey patch for Ohio State game
Tennessee Football on Friday showed off the College Football Playoff First Round jersey patch that the Vols will wear in next week’s game at Ohio State at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. The patch features the College Football Playoff logo above the words ‘Playoff First Round’ and will be just above the Vols’ SEC jersey patch.
No. 9 Tennessee (10-2) and No. 8 Ohio State (10-2) are scheduled for an 8 p.m. Eastern Time start on ABC and ESPN in the final game of the first round.
No. 10 Indiana plays at No. 7 Notre Dame to open the first round Friday night, before a tripleheader on Saturday, which starts with No. 11 SMU at No. 6 Penn State followed by No. 12 Clemson at No. 5 Texas, before the Vols-Buckeyes nightcap.

Tennessee has not yet announced its uniform combination for the game at Ohio State. The Buckeyes on Thursday teased a different uniform look for the game, posting a video on social media showing their alternate scarlet pants with the caption “THEY’RE BACK.”
Ohio State last wore scarlet jerseys and scarlet pants in October 2021, when a fifth-ranked Buckeye team beat No. 20 Penn State 33-24 at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. It was announced on Wednesday that Ohio State is planning to ‘Scarlet The Shoe,’ asking all Ohio State fans to wear scarlet to the game.
The winner of the Tennessee-Ohio State game will advance to face No. 1 Oregon in the Rose Bowl on January 1. The Buckeyes opened as a 7.5-point favorite for the game on Sunday.
It’s only the second time the two teams have met, with the Vols winning 20-14 in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day 1996.
