The VFL Players’ Lounge: Ramon Foster and Jonathan Wade preview Tennessee and Pittsburgh in Johnny Majors Classic
Tennessee and Pittsburgh will get going later today at the venue formerly known as Heinz Field. The Vols cruised to a 59-10 victory last week over Ball State while Pittsburgh pulled out an emotional squeaker over rival West Virginia in the ‘Backyard Brawl.’
Today will be the final leg of the Johnny Majors Classic, a home-and-home series started last season to honor the former player and legendary coach of both programs. Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers escaped Knoxville with a 41-34 win last season in a game where the Volunteers struggled with injuries and penalties.
We’ll see what’s in store for this go-around as the Vols sit as 6-point favorites on the road.
