Tennessee senior wideout Bru McCoy has had a phenomenal football journey. But his time on Rocky Top has been even more special. He joined Vol Club Confidential sponsored by Knoxville Smiles to discuss his time on Rocky Top and so much more.
“When I look back on the goals I set for myself coming out of high school, I wanted to win and win in a big way and it’s taken as long as it has,” McCoy said. “I’m finally starting to see personally a lot of the dreams I had come to fruition and I think as we continue to go through the season we will have more opportunities like that to play in big games. I feel we are going through a rebrand at Tennessee of about what the expectations are for the football team every year. B
“Being a part of two Alabama wins and knowing the history now, it’s special. It’s stuff you tell your kids about. Hopefully going forward the standard is a little bit different.”

When he decided to transfer from Southern Cal, there were some unknowns about Tennessee. What he has found has changed his life forever.
“It’s a one of a kind place,” McCoy said. “It’s got for me the best people I’ve ever been around in my whole life. The quality of people, the support the team gets and how the brand is represented, the way the players get treated is one of a kind. Winning should be a byproduct of all those things and now that we have a good thing rolling in my opinion for years to come when I’m gone, we will look back at 22-23-24 Tennessee and kind of be like that was a transition into what Tennessee deserves to be.”
