Vol players react to loss in Athens
ATHENS, Ga. — It was Georgia early and often as Tennessee found the loss column for the first time in the 2022 season by falling to the Bulldogs 27-13.
After forcing a fumble and taking an early 3-0 lead between the hedges, Georgia would out score Tennessee 24 to 3 the rest of the first half and put the Vols behind the proverbial 8-ball that they couldn’t recover from.
Hendon Hooker found success with short passing but never could take the top off. Kelee Ringo picked off the Heisman candidate on a key second quarter drive.
