The Tennessee 2025 football broadcast team for the Vol Radio Network is set with new Voice of the Vols Mike Keith.

Keith returned to Knoxville and his alma mater back in January after a 26-year run as the voice of the Tennessee Titans will be joined by two VFLs on his broadcast team.

11-year NFL veteran and former Tennessee offensive lineman Ramon Foster will join the Vol Network as Keith’s booth analyst. Former Tennessee wide receiver Jayson Swain returns for his fifth year on the network. Swain’s role as an analyst will be expanded as he moves up from the sidelines. The former Vol receiver will continue to provide analysis in the network’s pre-game show, the Big Orange Countdown. Swain will also co-host halftime and post game coverage on the Vol Radio Network.

Foster will also join Swain and Brent Hubbs for the Big Orange Countdown.

Foster has been a mainstay on Vol Network affiliate 104.5 FM The Zone in Nashville since August of 2020. He co-hosts Ramon, Kayla and Will on the station weekdays from 6-10 a.m. CT. He served as the sideline reporter for Titans Radio the past two seasons and he hosts The Ramon Foster Show, a podcast focused on Steelers’ coverage.

“Ramon has been a strong and influential voice for 104.5 The Zone and Zone TV, with over 11 seasons in the NFL and a successful college playing career,” said Allison Warren, VP/Market Manager with Cumulus Nashville. “This is a natural next step for him, and we are incredibly proud of his achievements. The Zone and Zone TV have been long-time partners of the Vol Network, and we are honored to continue our collaboration as the Nashville affiliate airing the Vol Network. Congratulations, Ramon!”

For Foster, returning to his alma mater is a dream come true.

“I have sat back and thought about it and all the people that have played a part in it for me getting to this point,” Foster told Volquest. “I remember coach Fulmer coming to my double wide trailer in Henning, Tennessee, recruited me and to close out my recruitment and to now being in a position where I can service Tennessee and be a part of it. I have always loved Tennessee.

“When Mike Keith asked me to be the sideline reporter for Titans Radio, I never dreamed it would lead to this. The moment this was presented to me it wasn’t just a yes, it was a four letter word then yes.”

Foster started his broadcasting career with a players show in Pittsburgh, following a path he always had interested in.

“The reason I didn’t do it at Tennessee is I was before NIL. I had crooked teeth,” Foster continued. “I would have been a communications major then if I hadn’t been so afraid to get in front of a crowd to speak and I couldn’t afford braces in that era. I never switched my major to communications. I had an interest in it back then and I always loved writing.”

Foster also loves the fact that he’s getting to work with his former teammate in Jayson Swain.

“You always want to be around people you’re familiar with because chemistry does matter. I have always admired Jayson,” Foster offered. “From the time I got on campus at Tennessee, I always thought Swain was one of those cool dudes. You have teammates where you say that guy gets it. That’s how it has always been with Jayson. I always looked up to how he carried himself. He a hard worker and a grinder. I’m looking forward to working beside him.”

For Swain, the feeling is mutual.

“I’m excited to work with him,” Swain said of Foster. “I know what type of person Ramon is. He’s genuine. He’s real, he’s intentional. He loves Tennessee. Hard work is something he understands. I’m just really excited to get to work with someone that I really like. Ramon is one of the best people to represent Tennessee.”

And like Foster, for Swain being a part of football Saturdays at Tennessee, it is something that he cherishes.

“It means everything,” Swain told Volquest. “The opportunity from the decision makers to have me be a part of the broadcast, that’s a lot of trust in me. I’m very excited about the opportunity to paint the picture to the listener of what’s going on based in part on the experience as a player at the University of Tennessee. To bring the passion and energy that fans have. I look forward to sharing that.”

Brent Hubbs, who has been with the network since 1994, will be the sideline reporter for the Vol Radio Network this season. Hubbs will also continue his other work with the Network, which includes hosting the Big Orange Countdown and Vol Calls.
