Volquest Podcast: Tennessee advances to the super regional, again

Tennessee is off the super regionals for the fifth time in five years after the Vols beat Wake Forest 11-5 Monday night to advance to Arkansas this weekend for a 3-game series with a trip to the College World Series on the line.
Tennessee’s win Monday night created plenty of storylines starting with Liam Doyle who on two days rest came on in relief to slam the door on the win.
Doyle faced seven batters in 2.1 innings of work, striking out 5 and not allowing a hit. Doyle’s strikeout in the 8th inning broke Tennessee’s single season record for strikeouts.
