Vols commit Joakim Dodson earns On300 ranking after strong regular season
Tennessee commitment Joakim Dodson’s stock has continued to rise since arriving at Baylor School (Tenn.) earlier in the year. Dodson has had a strong senior season, and he is now the newest member of the 2025 On300 rankings.
On3 unveiled its latest installment of the 2025 On300 rankings on Monday afternoon, and Dodson moved up to become the No.299 overall prospect in the class. Dodson is rated as the 38th-best receiver in the class and the 10th-best prospect from the state of Tennessee.
Dodson’s climb in the rankings gives Tennessee its 14th commitment inside of the On300 rankings for the cycle.
Dodson’s jump comes after a strong regular season showing at Baylor School this fall. He has hauled in 58 catches for 871 yards and 13 touchdowns so far.

He helped Baylor to an undefeated regular season, and he has them poised to make another run at a state championship in DII-AAA.
“The season has been pretty good,” Dodson told Volquest in September. “I’ve learned a lot playing under a good coach in (Erik) Kimrey. I’ve played in some big-time games with the first one being on ESPN. We play good competition and have had a good year so far. I’ve got seven touchdowns and that’s probably close to the most I’ve had in a single season. I feel like I’ve learned a lot and have matured a lot as a player. It’s been a good season so far.”
Dodson has continued to see his game grow throughout the regular season at Baylor.
“Just route running and the mental side,” Dodson said in September. “I also think coach (Adarius) Bowman being here and being an Oklahoma State legend. He has really helped my game a lot and Kimrey knowing what an SEC receiver looks like since they both have been at that level.”
Baylor will host Brentwood Academy this Friday Night in the second round of the playoffs.
