Vols' WR Dont'e Thornton selected in 4th round of 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft continues on, and another Tennessee Volunteer is officially off the board in the X round after wide receiver Dont’e Thornton was selected with the 108th overall pick in the 4th Round by the Las Vegas Raiders.
The 6-5, 214-pound Thornton missed time at different points for the Vols’ in 2024, but he flashed his big play ability on multiple occasions, as he averaged 25.4 yards per catch.
On the season, Thornton hauled in 26 catches for 661 yards and six touchdowns, including a long of 86 yards.
Thornton had a crucial 66-yard catch and run against Oklahoma on the closing play of the quarter to put the Vols in the lead for the rest of the contest.
Thornton also had a career day against Vanderbilt in just a half of work, as he hauled in three catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Thornton has been viewed as a sleeper heading into the Draft, and he has been a hot topic among teams looking to add a big play threat to their receiving corps.
About this year’s NFL Draft
The 2025 NFL Draft will take place from April 24–26th in Green Bay, Wisconsin, right outside the legendary Lambeau Field. It’s the first time Green Bay has hosted the draft, and they’re turning the whole Titletown area into a football fan zone for the weekend.
The Draft opens on Thursday night, April 24th, with the first round kicking off at 8 p.m. ET. On Friday, April 25th, rounds two and three begin at 7 p.m. ET. The draft wraps up on Saturday, April 26th, with the final four rounds starting at noon ET.
