Where Tennessee commits, targets stand in updated 2025 On300 Rankings

On Monday afternoon, On3 released the newest edition of the On300 rankings for the 2025 recruiting class. Volquest takes a look at where Tennessee targets and commitments stand in the updated rankings.

MacIntyre moves into top-15

Vols QB commitment George MacIntyre continued his ascent up the On300 rankings. MacIntyre moved up to No.12 overall and is rated as the second-best quarterback in the class. MacIntyre’s move from No.20 to No.12 also vaulted him up to five-star status in the On3 Industry Rankings.

Van Dorselaer maintains On300 status

Vols tight end commitment Jack Van Dorselaer dropped 26 spots in the rankings, but he still maintained On300 status at No.286. He was the only Vol commitment to join MacIntyre in the On300 rankings in the latest update.

Starting along the offensive line, there are several of Tennessee’s top targets featured in the On300. David Sanders dropped from No.5 to No.7 in this update and is now the No.2 offensive tackle in the class. Kansas offensive tackle Andrew Babalola, who recently visited Knoxville moved up six spots to No.15 overall. Josh Petty dropped 22 spots to No.33 overall, Jaelyne Matthews moved up 11 spots to No.75 overall, Juan Gaston dropped 52 spots to No.179 overall, Douglas Utu moved up two spots to No.213 overall and Dontrell Glover dropped 35 spots to No.218 overall.

Along the defensive line, Warner Robins EDGE Isaiah Gibson jumped up to No. 24 overall, where he was previously rated as No.212 in the country, Nathaniel Marshall dropped 16 spots to No.46 overall, and Mariyon Dye, who is scheduled to take an official visit to Tennessee in June went from not ranked to No.47 in the country. Elsewhere, Christian Garrett comes in at No.61 overall, Damien Shanklin is No.107 overall, Trajen Odom is No.120 overall, Jared Smith is No.162 overall, Zion Grady is No.166 overall, Ethan Utley is No.176 overall, Julius Holly is No.287 overall and Charles House comes in at No.300 overall.

At the receiver position, Kaliq Lockett is ranked No.13 overall, Caleb Cunningham is ranked No.20 overall, Jaime Ffrench is ranked No.41 overall, Travis Smith Jr. is ranked No.50 overall, Derek Meadows is ranked No.57 overall, Radarious Jackson is ranked No.92 overall, Marcus Harris is ranked No.196 overall, Phillip Bell is ranked No.210, Isaiah Mozee is ranked No.241, Cameron Sparks is ranked No.251 overall, and Malik Clark comes in at No.258 overall after being unranked previously.

In the secondary, Tennessee has several targets ranked in this update. Cornerback Shamari Earls is ranked No.62 overall, cornerback Chris Ewald is ranked No.181 overall, Cornerback Daryus Dixon is ranked No.207 overall, and cornerback Tae Harris is ranked No.298 overall.

North Carolina safety Jordan Young is ranked at No.29 overall in the updated rankings and is the top-rated safety in this update. Ohio safety Trey McNutt is ranked No.74 overall, Lagonza Hawyard is ranked No.83 overall, Eric Winters is ranked No.125 overall, and Jontae Gilbert is ranked No.175 overall.

At Linebacker, Ty Jackson is ranked as the No.16 overall prospect and top linebacker in the class. Joining him at the position in this update is Tarvos Alford at No.78 overall, Nasir Wyatt at No.168 overall, Jaedon Harmon at No.209, Christian Gass at No.227, and Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng at No.266 overall.

At running back, Jordan Davison comes in at No.224 overall, while Donovan Johnson comes in at No.229 overall.
