Who's in, who's out: Final injury report for Tennessee ahead of Alabama
No.17 Tennessee (5-1, 2-1) and No.11 Alabama (6-1, 4-0) are set to square off at 3:30 eastern time on CBS. The Vols and Crimson Tide are currently on the field for warmups and Volquest has the final injury report for the contest.
WR Dont’e Thornton (Available)
Thornton was not available for Tennessee against South Carolina, but he returned to action last weekend against Texas A&M. He logged 18 snaps, and the Vols will count on him to be part of the rotation again this weekend as they continue to look for answers at wide receiver. He has been a full participant in warmups today.
DB Doneiko Slaugther (Available)
Slaughter has dealt with a nagging injury for the last few weeks, but he was able to get back into the rotation in a small role last weekend. He logged 10 snaps and continues to be on pace to contribute more for the Vols moving forward. He should be a full go for Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.
OL Jeremiah Crawford (Available)
Crawford has dressed out for Tennessee for the last two weeks, but it has been clear that he has not b been a factor. He has not logged a snap for the Vols, even though Gerald Mincey has battled injury. Dayne Davis went into the game last weekend when Mincey went down, and the veteran logged 32 snaps. Crawford continues to progress, and he has worked out in pre-game, and the Vols will need him if Mincey is not available or limited.
OL Gerald Mincey (Available)
The Vols’ starting right tackle was sporting a noticeable knee brace last weekend and appeared to be testing it out in pre-game. He was able to log 45 snaps for Tennessee before gettting rolled up and was not able to return. He has been considered questionable heading into this contest, but after logging multiple reps in pre-game, he appears to be available for Tennessee today.
DL Omarr Norman-Lott (Available)
The veteran defensive lineman has been productive for Tennessee this season. However, he has dealt with the injury bug at times. He is available for the Vols today in Tuscaloosa.
OL Andrej Karic (Available)
The veteran offensive lineman was also out last weekend with an undisclosed injury. He had been a starter at left guard for the Vols during the first four games of the season. Karic is with Tennessee in Tuscaloosa today and appears available. We will see how much he factor into the rotation behind Ollie Lane at left guard.
LB Keenan Pili (OUT)
Keenan Pili remains out with an upper-body injury, and a timetable for his return is unclear at this time. He continues to be active around the team during this time. Tennessee’s hope is to get him back by sometime in November if he is able to return.

WR Bru McCoy (OUT)
McCoy is sidelined for the season after suffering a gruesome leg injury against South Carolina. He has had a successful surgery and is on the road to recovery.
“I want to thank every single individual who has taken the time to check in on me, share words of encouragement, or simply show their support. It means the world to me,” McCoy said in a statement last week. “I’ll be back, stronger, healthier, and more hungry than ever. Till then Go Damn Vols.”
Freshman DL Tyree Weathersby, RB Desean Bishop, DL Nathan Robinson (OUT)
Tennessee freshmen Tyree Weathersby and Desean Bishop both suffered long-term injuries around the same time in fall camp. Weathersby will be out for the season with a lower extremity injury, while Bishop’s injury could allow him to return at some point, but he could miss an extended period of time.
“Weathersby will be out for the year. Deshaun is not out for the year but will be out for an extended period of time. Probably a couple of months,” Josh Heupel said on August 16th.
New to the injury report is freshman defensive lineman Nathan Robinson. The newcomer is expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time with an upper body injury.
DB Christian Charles (OUT)
Charles left last week’s contest against Austin Peay with an ankle injury. He is expected to miss an extended period of time for the Vols following the injury. He has continued to battle injuries throughout his career.
