101 days until Texas Football: Where does 101 appear in the school record books?

But 101 days means instead of looking at an individual player or a legend that wore a jersey number, there’s a chance to look and see where 101 appears in the school record books.
Let’s multiply 101 by 1000 and talk attendance. Technically, the capacity of Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium is 100,119. However, Texas has welcomed over 101,000 fans 19 times in school history. Texas is 14-5 in those games.
Three of those 101,000+ crowds were in 2022. A record 105,213 packed into DKR for the Alabama game. The week after, 102,520 were on hand to see Texas top UTSA 41-20. Another record crowd of 104,203, the second-largest crowd in school history, watched TCU stifle Texas in a 17-10 win.
There was only one season where Texas averaged over 101,000 fans. It was during the Big 12 championship season of 2009.

Bijan Robinson rushed for exactly 101 yards this past year versus West Virginia. That was one of 12 games where a Longhorn ran for 101 rushing yards. Robinson joined Keaontay Ingram, Johnathan Gray, Selvin Young, Vince Young, Butch Hadnot, Eric Metcalf, Jimmy Johnson, Tommy Ford, Rene Ramirez, Chester Simcik, and Dickie Ochoa.
Through the air, Colt McCoy threw 101 consecutive passes without an interception in 2008, the 12th longest streak in program history. Collin Johnson’s 101 yards versus TCU in 2019 helped him join Devin Duvernay in the 100+ yard club in that contest. Quan Cosby recorded the only game in UT history where someone hauled in 101 receiving yards versus Oklahoma State in 2006.
Rounding out the 101 records is one in the team category. The school record for most plays in a game is 101, recorded at Houston in 1987.
