“I’ve really enjoyed my high school career and experience,” Manning told WGNO-ABC. “I’ve been here for 12 years and it’s been an awesome experience. I’m going to miss it for sure.”

On the recruiting process:

“I’m really thankful for how my family handled it and kept me grounded the entire time. I was excited when it was over and I’m ready to get to college.”

On why he made the decision when he did:

“Yea, I kinda knew maybe a day before, and my dad just said ‘let’s just go ahead and do it, what’s the point in waiting.’ It was a long wait before that. So we did it then took a trip to the Bahamas to relax.”

On telling coach Steve Sarkisian and other coaches his decision:

“Coach Sark was obviously fired up, but that wasn’t the most stressful part. The most stressful was calling the other coaches. Told them I was grateful for all of them and now just excited to get to Texas. Think (Texas coaches) were fired up. I was definitely fired up.”

On what Arch considers the definition of success:

“I’m focused on having success, on and off the field. But I really want to enjoy each moment and not get caught up in the attention. I want to enjoy each day and make a lot of friends, and have a fun time along this journey.”

On father Cooper, Uncle Peyton, and Uncle Eli giving advice about enjoying the college experience:

“My family has been great about giving advice. Obviously, they’ve done it the right way. They enjoyed college and that’s what I’m going to try to do.”

On grandfather Archie’s advice:

“He just wants me to be a good guy. My family wants me to play well, but being a good guy matters the most. It’s not all just about football.”

— Arch Manning Scouting Summary —

The On3 Scouting Summary for Arch Manning is the following:

Possesses a pure throwing motion with one of the quickest releases we’ve seen from a high school quarterback prospect. Those mechanics pair with a strong arm to make Manning one of the more natural and accurate passers in the 2023 cycle. Has the ability to carve up opposing defenses from inside the pocket or outside of structure when things break down. Shows innate field vision for his age with the ability to find open receivers while making second-reaction plays. An above average athlete for the position with polished footwork and the capability of picking up yards in scramble situations. Has filled out a big frame over his high school career, entering his junior year as the most physically developed top quarterback in the 2023 cycle. Also carries a substantial mental load for a junior quarterback with the responsibility of setting protections.
