The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder had a solid 2022 season culminating in Aledo’s 5A-DII state championship last December at AT&T Stadium.
But after strong overtures from schools like Alabama, where he visited in January, and USC where he intends on visiting this spring, Allen decided to go in a different direction.
Alabama, Michigan State, USC, Houston, and Jackson State have stepped in with offers recently and are pushing for visits. Allen recently mentioned a pair of schools to Inside Texas that are pushing the hardest.
“Alabama and USC are really coming strong,” said Allen recently.
Allen’s older brother, BJ Allen, is a redshirt freshman safety for the Longhorns. Jaden will lean on BJ for advice as his recruitment progresses. BJ also de-committed once during the process, stepping back from a LSU commitment.
“BJ is grinding like always,” said Allen. “Once he gets out there, it’s going to be crazy. It’s cool having a big brother going through what I’m looking to do in the future.”

Allen is focused on working and getting better before his senior season on the heels of the state championship in 2022. He’s also running the 100m, 200m, and the 4×100 for the Aledo track and field team this spring.
Allen is the No. 206 overall prospect and No. 19 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 33 player in Texas.
The Longhorns’ 2024 recruiting class currently consists of Houston (Texas) Clear Lake four-star athlete Hunter Moddon and Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair three-star quarterback Trey Owens.
