The 4-6 Wildcats are a maddeningly inconsistent team that plays up to every good opponent and down to everyone else. Injuries, bad QB play, inconsistent defense and poor offense have all played a role, not to mention the psychological effects of head coach Mark Stoops trying to take the A&M job in the offseason and then sheepishly returning to Lexington as if it hadn't happened.
