“It’s always great coming to Austin” said Evers, who shared his appreciation for the opportunity to connect with Kyle Flood despite Steve Sarkisian being out sick during this visit.
What made this trip particularly unique for Evers was the time spent with current players, which gave him a glimpse into the culture of the program.
“We got a chance to ask what a day in the life was like here, which I loved!” he said.
Evers also noted how different the culture at Texas feels compared to other schools.
“Most guys look at incoming recruits as competition, or like they’re coming to take their spot. But at Texas, the players welcome you because they don’t have any egos. They just want to win,” Evers said.
Flood emphasized Evers’ versatility as a critical part of his game, highlighting how his skill set fits multiple positions along the offensive line.

“Me being long-armed and athletic lets me play tackle, I’m strong enough to play guard, and smart enough to play center if needed,” Evers explained. This versatility is a key reason why Evers continues to be a target for the Texas coaching staff.
Evers’ father was equally impressed with the program and what it offers both on and off the field.
“They’ve got a lot to offer where they can provide my son with development on and off the field and prepare him for life outside of football,” he said.
Evers is positive he will be setting up an official visit to Texas and is simply working on finalizing the date.
“Coordinating them is a challenge, but it’s a blessing, so I’m not complaining!” Evers said.
Evers is ranked as the No. 280 overall prospect, the No. 24 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 34 player in Texas in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranks Evers as the No. 24 interior offensive lineman and the No. 54 player in Texas.
