Texas’ first commit in its 2026 class has stepped back from his pledge. 2026 Aledo (Texas) running back Raycine Guillory decommitted from the Longhorns, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday.

Guillory, who committed to Texas during a junior day visit in January, was ranked as the No. 184 overall prospect, the No. 15 running back, and the No. 22 player in Texas in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. On3 ranked Guillory as the No. 98 overall prospect, the No. 13 running back, and the No. 14 player in Texas.

Texas running backs coach Tashard Choice should have no problem searching within the Lone Star State for a talented replacement. Fourteen prospects from Texas were included in the top 100 of On3’s most recent player rankings, and six of those fourteen were running backs.

Forney (Texas) rusher Javian Osborne was the No. 23 overall prospect, Cibolo (Texas) Steele’s Jonathan Hatton was No. 47, Frisco (Texas) Lone Star’s Davian Groce was the No. 59 overall prospect, Texarkana (Texas) Texas High’s Tradarian Ball was the No. 75 overall prospect, and Carthage (Texas) rusher KJ Edwards was ranked as the No. 87 overall prospect.

Guillory had taken visits, including one to Georgia, after his pledge. He also recently tweeted that a top schools list was coming soon before deleting the post.

The Longhorns have 2026 Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell as their sole verbal commitment in the 2026 class.
