2026 TE Kaiden Prothro, the No. 32 overall prospect in his class, includes Texas in his top five

2026 Bowdon (Ga.) tight end Kaiden Prothro released his top five on Thursday and included Texas in the mix. The Longhorns joined Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia in his top group, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Prothro, the No. 32 overall prospect, the No. 2 tight end, and the No. 3 player in Georgia in the On3 Industry Ranking, has official visits set to all of his finalists save for Texas. He’s scheduled to see Georgia on May 30, Alabama on June 6, Auburn on June 10 and Florida on June 13, per On3.

On3’s Chad Simmons spoke with Prothro in December and found out what he likes about the Longhorns.

“They play great football over there and the past two years, they’ve been playing well,” Prothro said. “They’re showing that they’re going to be the team in a couple of years. I like that about Texas and they play hard.”

The 6-foot-5.5, 210-pounder had 56 catches for 1203 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2024. In his career, he has 99 catches for 2250 yards and 39 touchdowns.

On3 ranks Prothro as the No. 62 overall prospect, the No. 2 tight end, and the No. 6 player in Georgia. Every scouting service save for On3 has Prothro in the top 50 of its rankings.

Georgia is the current leader for Prothro in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 27.8 percent chance of landing the four-star’s services. Auburn is second with a 21.7 percent chance. Alabama is in third with an 11.7 percent chance. Texas is currently listed as having a less than one
