2027 four-star LB Taven Epps commit to Texas

Texas lands its first commitment for 2027 with Tustin (Calif.) LB Taven Epps committed to Texas today.
The four-star LB really liked what he saw from the Texas Longhorns so far in the early stages of his recruitment and now the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder is joining Johnny Nansen and the Horns.

The On3 Industry Ranking No. 4 LB in 2027 hit Austin on last Friday during a weekend 7v7u tournament in Texas. He was still able to see practice, toured the Longhorns’ facility and campus, and sat in on the team and position meetings.
Epps is the No. 61-ranked prospect, No. 4-ranked linebacker, and No. 11-ranked overall in California for the Class of 2027, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
