In 2005, Scott earned Unanimous first-team All-America honors from the five major selectors recognized by the NCAA in addition to his second consecutive first-team All-Big 12 selection. A key piece of the Longhorns’ back-to-back Rose Bowl winning teams and Vince Young‘s blindside protector, Scott attended Dallas Carter prior to his Texas career.
Scott was drafted in the fifth round of the 2006 draft and played in parts of eight years in the NFL. He recently began his prep coaching career with Plano (Texas) John Paul II.
