A look at the Houston Cougars ahead of the Texas game

When Longhorns fans watch Houston host Texas on Saturday, they’ll see a Cougar team made up of a mix of transfer portal and high school recruiting.

The Cougars started 12 transfer portal players in last Thursday’s dramatic win over West Virginia. That list of Houston Cougars starters against the Mountaineers includes five former 4-star prospects. Of the five, four were transfers from Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and USC.
