“Now that the dust has settled and I’ve committed to Notre Dame, I want to take intentional time to thank the three other programs that made my decision both incredibly meaningful and difficult,” Finley wrote. “I have the utmost respect for Coach Sarkisian and his staff. UT has always been a special place for me and my family. (Chris) Jackson has become one of my most influential mentors throughout this process and I’ll value our relationship forever. With guys like Arch Manning and Dia Bell leading the way, Texas is set up for big success and I wish them nothing but the best.”
Finley also wrote about his experiences with Arizona State and Texas A&M, and continued to speak in a gracious tone to all who recruited him.
