The postseason reward for No. 20 Texas’ 8-4 season is a Valero Alamo Bowl tilt with the No. 12 Washington Huskies.

Washington, who completed a 10-2 regular season campaign, has one of the top offenses in the country and the top passing offense in the country under the guidance of head coach Kalen DeBoer and quarterback Michael Penix.

Texas looks to top the Huskies for the first time since the 2001 Holiday Bowl, while Washington is looking for its second win over Texas and first since 1979.

A Longhorn win would be the 32nd bowl win in program history and the first for Steve Sarkisian at Texas.
