The Texas Longhorns, fresh off a record 11 draft picks last year, aim for another strong showing in 2025. ESPN’s Matt Miller revealed his final prospect rankings Monday, a list of 600 prospects, ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Seventeen Longhorns were in the top 600, though not all 17 are likely to be drafted.

Format is rank, name, position, and grade. Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter had the highest draft grade at 97 and was the No. 1 prospect in Miller’s rankings.

Top 100

Barryn Sorrell, Kelvin Banks, Gunnar Helm, Quinn Ewers

8. Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas (93)

No surprise here with Banks being the highest-ranked Horn. He allowed only four sacks in 1,544 pass blocking snaps in his Texas career.

11. Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas (93)

Barron, the Thorpe Award winner, allowed opposing quarterbacks to post a 34.2 passer rating when targeting him in 2025.

16. Matthew Golden, WR, Texas (90)

One of the greatest NFL draft risers in this draft who was aided by a blistering 4.29 40 at the combine. In the final four games of the season, Golden posted 411 of his 987 total yards.

50. Alfred Collins, DT, Texas (80)

An extremely versatile defender in the front seven, Collins has rare size… even for an interior defensive lineman. These are the percentiles for Collins among all IDLs in NFL combine history:

  • Height – 94
  • Weight – 92
  • Wingspan – 97
  • Arm Length – 90

68. Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas (75)

It remains to be seen if Bond’s draft stock remains as high as his prospect ranking after recent legal troubles.

80. Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas (74)

The three-year signal-caller will leave Texas as a Longhorn legend for doing his part in bringing Texas back into the national spotlight. It’s hard not to play the ‘what if’ game and wonder how much further he would be without the numerous injuries. Ewers should get a legit shot at the next level.

86. Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas (73)

The Clemson transfer had an amazing season that probably hasn’t been talked about enough. Allowing only 74 yards and 43.5% catch rate, Mukuba picked off the opposing QB five times leading to a 12.1 passer rating when targeted. Not only an elite pass defender but someone who plays a physical brand of football with old school hits.

Top 200

Jake Majors
Jake Majors (Will Gallagher/Inside Texas)

117. Jake Majors, C, Texas (70)

A guy that has been lauded as a “football cyborg” by multiple player/broadcasters. He will look to take his experience (Majors holds the school record for starts) apply it at the next level. Texas will have a tall task replacing the heartbeat of the O-line.

119. Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas (70)

Chances of Helm flying up draft boards late was hampered when he hurt his ankle on his first 40-yard dash attempt in Indianapolis, but he his tape speaks volumes about his play. Helm will certainly have plenty of suitors.

122. Cameron Williams, OT, Texas (69)

Initially thought of as a borderline first round draft pick, the massive tackle has seen his stock fall a decent amount because of his play while injured. He stepped in for Christian Jones and false starts aside he was an effective blocker on the edge when healthy. Someone will hopefully see and take advantage of the raw potential.

129. Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas (69)

After a blazing yet somehow still mildly disappointing 4.38 40, Blue showed up to Texas’ Pro Day and clocked unofficial times in the 4.2 range. It was revealed that he had injured his groin during training for the combine. A legit receiving threat out of the backfield with rare athleticism.

135. Barryn Sorrell, Edge, Texas (68)

A massive part of the current culture that Texas has is thanks to Sorrell. One of the leaders on the defense and an excellent player, the NFL will certainly enjoy his play. An interesting note is this would mark the 12th Longhorn drafted if all were drafted in this order, he would be the new school record setting pick.

146. Vernon Broughton, DT, Texas (67)

Easily an over-looked player on the Texas defense, Broughton was an excellent pass rusher from the interior. He could easily see himself making an impact as a passing down specialist at the next level, or a flat out monster if he can improve his run game strength.

Top 300

Hayden Conner

241. Hayden Conner, G, Texas (57)

The last of the “picks”, Conner is a guy that will bring a lot of experience to whatever team that selects him. Another versatile offensive lineman out of the Kyle Flood pancake factory, his cross training may be what makes him the 14th Longhorn selected in the 2025 NFL draft.

Top 400

309. Silas Bolden, WR, Texas (51)

An excellent special teams player and a quality wide receiver, Bolden is a guy that will be in high demand if he winds up not being selected in the NFL Draft. Many coaches have probably watched that OU fumble recovery more than they would care to admit.

Silas Bolden
Silas Bolden (Will Gallagher/Inside Texas)

360. David Gbenda, LB, Texas (50)

A speedy but strong linebacker, easily overshadowed by Anthony Hill Jr. and the rising star in Liona Lefau. Team first player that will improve whoever’s roster he lands on. An over-looked part of his time here at Texas is just like Roschon did, he switched from his recruited position at linebacker and took reps at running back giving up valuable early development in order to help the team. He will be missed.

412. Jermayne Lole, DT, Texas (49)

Though a draftable player, Lole is hanging up his cleats and picking up a whistle to be a GA for Texas.
