Hill has played in all eight games this season, and made his first career start in the No. 7 Longhorns’ 35-6 victory over BYU on Saturday.

The Denton (Texas) Ryan product has tallied 35 tackles (22 solo), five tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, and three quarterback hurries. He holds a share of the team lead in sacks, is second in tackles for loss and solo tackles, tied for third in total tackles, and fourth in QB hurries. Hill’s three sacks are tied for 10th-most by a freshman in UT’s program history.

Hill earned Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Week honors for week two following his performance in Texas’ victory at Alabama. In the 34-24 win, Hill collected six tackles (four solo), two tackles for loss and two sacks. Both of Hill’s sacks occurred on third-and-longs in the second half, with the second occurring on the Crimson Tide’s final offensive play of the game and resulting in an eight-yard loss that pushed Alabama back to their own 12-yard line.
