Manning, the Longhorns’ starting quarterback who is entering his third season on the 40 Acres, appeared in a promotional video with his dad Cooper and grandfather Archie in a Waymo, a driverless ride sharing vehicle just launched in Austin.
Cooper and Archie joke around with Arch, poking fun at his propensity for parking tickets around Austin.
“Arch, do you Uber to class?” Cooper joked. “Because I notice you get a lot of parking tickets. You must be driving somewhere.”
“Tickets are brutal around campus, so I think Uber is the way to go,” Arch said.
“I’ve just been a couple of blocks but it drives a lot better than Arch did last night coming from the airport,” Archie said.
The NIL deal is part of Uber’s rollout of Waymo in Austin. Per Uber, “starting today, Austin riders can be matched with a Waymo autonomous vehicle (AV) on the Uber app, making your next trip even more special.”

Uber and the University of Texas have been connected via another spokesman, as Matthew McConaughey recently appeared in a Super Bowl ad for Uber Eats.
