Texas junior running back Bijan Robinson keeps climbing the charts. The Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic product had 140 rushing yards in Texas’ 41-34 loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday, enough to move him into the top 10 in school history in rushing yardage. Robinson now has 2750 yards on the ground in his career, just 32 yards behind D’Onta Foreman.

Robinson entered Saturday at No. 13 all-time with 2610 yards, just ahead of great UT backs from national championship teams like Jim Bertelsen and Steve Worster. With his 140-yard performance against the Cowboys, Robinson passed Eric MetcalfHodges Mitchell, and Malcolm Brown to become one of the ten most prolific rushers for a program with some of the sport’s all-time greats.

Robinson has 920 yards this year on 162 carries with 11 touchdowns, joining his 1,127 yards from last year and his 703-yard campaign in 2020.

Foreman leads Robinson for the No. 9 spot by 32 yards. At No. 8 in school history is A.J. “Jam” Jones, who leads Robinson by 123 yards. To move to No. 7 and pass Roosevelt Leaks, Robinson needs 174 more yards.

With 250 yards, he would become the seventh player in UT history to rush for 3000 yards. If he were to reach that threshold, Robinson would need 129 yards to pass Vince Young for No. 6 in school history.

After his 41-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter of Saturday’s game, Robinson also boasts four multi-touchdown games this year and 10 for his career. Robinson has 13 scores this season, 11 of them coming on the ground and two the result of touchdown receptions.

Robinson has now scored a touchdown in 18 of the last 20 games. He also has scored a rushing touchdown in seven of eight games this season for the Horns.
