What does Texas need to do to make the NCAA Tournament?

Well, they might not actually need to win the SEC Tournament to secure the automatic bid. But, they assuredly need to win versus Texas A&M and possibly against Tennessee to feel good about making the field of 68.

Texas is currently the first team out according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi. This update was posted last night prior to the late-night games.

Oklahoma and Baylor won their contests since Lunardi posted his most recent update.

Indiana is currently battling Oregon. Xavier plays Marquette this afternoon. North Carolina plays Wake Forest this afternoon. Boise State plays San Diego State later today.

Losses by the Tar Heels, the Aztecs, the Hoosiers, and the Musketeers, along with a Texas Quadrant 1 win over the Aggies, would be in the best interest of Rodney Terry‘s program.

Texas battles Texas A&M today at 2:30 p.m. Central.
