Augustin is one of best to ever suit up for the Longhorns. A two-year player with Texas who helped Rick Barnes’ teams to the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament, the 2008 Big 12 regular season title, and the 2008 Elite Eight, Augustin earned consensus first-team All-American honors and first-team All-Big 12 honors as one of the key pieces of one of the best Longhorn teams ever. Augustin was drafted ninth overall in the 2008 NBA draft, the beginning of a 15-plus year NBA career.
Ivey, a four-year Longhorn who appeared in 133 games and scored 1036 career points, was part of the third Final Four team in program history in 2003. Texas was 98-36 during Ivey’s time in Austin. He was drafted in the second round of the 2004 draft and spent a number of seasons in the league before embarking on a coaching career. He’s been on the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder, the New York Knicks, and the Brooklyn Nets. He’s currently the head coach of the South Sudan national team as well as an assistant for the Houston Rockets.
