Williams, a third-year player from Duncanville (Texas), started 15 of Texas’ 16 2024 games, missing only the game versus Arizona State in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff at the Peach Bowl. Overall, he has 37 career appearances with 16 starts, his only non-2024 start coming versus Kansas State in the 2023 season.
Williams was on the field for 975 snaps in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus. He notched an offensive grade of 67.4, a pass-blocking grade of 72.6, and a run-blocking grade of 70.8. However, he was flagged for 16 penalties, including four in the contest at Michigan.
Williams spent most of his first two seasons on the field goal unit with a handful of appearances during the 2022 and 2023 campaigns before his first real game action in place of Christian Jones in an overtime win for the Longhorns.
