Texas remains the No. 1 team in FPI with a rating of 27.9, tied with Alabama and a full 10.0 points higher than No. 10 Miami (Fla.). FPI’s projected win-loss record for the Longhorns is now 11.4-1.2, down last week from 11.6-1.1.

Texas has a 21.7 percent chance of winning out, a 38.2 percent chance of winning the SEC, a 92.1 percent chance of making the playoff, a 34.7 percent chance of making the national championship game, and a 20.8 percent chance of winning the national title according to FPI.

Texas has the No. 5 strength of record and the No. 15 toughest remaining strength of schedule.

Oklahoma is No. 17 in FPI.

ESPN SP+

The Longhorns check in at No. 2 in SP+, down from the No. 1 spot last week. Texas was dethroned by Ohio State.

The move to No. 3 in offensive SP+ is a one spot drop. Alabama is No. 1 and LSU is No. 2.

The move to No. 8 in defensive SP+ is a gain of one spot.

The top 10 are No. 1 Iowa, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Penn State, No. 4 Nebraska, No. 5 Michigan, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 7 Notre Dame, No. 8 Texas, No. 9 Iowa State, and No. 10 Ole Miss.

Texas moved from No. 80 to No. 84 in special teams SP+.

FEI

Texas is the No. 5 team in FEI, down two spots from last week. Texas is No. 5 in offensive FEI and No. 7 in defensive FEI. The offensive FEI ranking is unchanged, but the drop to No. 7 is a three place difference. The Longhorns are No. 36 in special teams FEI, down 19 spots from last week.
