Confirmed: Talented Big Ten tight end to visit Texas today

With the Longhorns set to lose Gunnar Helm to the NFL, on the heels of losing Ja’Tavion Sanders to the NFL the year before, they’ll host Purdue tight end Max Klare. If you haven’t heard of Klare it has nothing to do with his ability and everything to do with his time spent with the struggling Boilermakers.

Klare’s statistical profile tells only part of the story…

But stats aren’t the most important part of the story. That would be traits. Klare doesn’t just have the traits to be a productive college tight end, he could become a true difference-maker before being very productive in the NFL.

Here are a few clips that highlight his size, hands, and movement skills.

The one hole in his game would be blocking, where he hasn’t graded well in his career.

Klare, who was a three-star out of Cincinnati in the 2022 class, should be able to see part of Texas’ playoff practice today ahead of UT’s game against Clemson on December 21.
