Contract details revealed for all 11 Longhorns picked in the NFL Draft

Now that rookie mini-camps are in full swing, teams want to make sure their precious draft picks have put pen to paper. For most of the 11 Texas Longhorns taken during the 2024 NFL Draft, those agreements and the dollar figures associated with them have been released.

Here are the contract details for the 11 Longhorns from the 2023 Big 12 Champions who were picked up in the most recent NFL Draft.

Byron Murphy, DT, Seattle Seahawks

Murphy signed a four-year, $16 million fully guaranteed deal with the Seahawks after they made him the No. 16 overall pick. The deal includes a fifth-year option. Murphy’s contract also reportedly includes a signing bonus of $8.5 million.

Xavier Worthy, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Worthy hasn’t signed his contract yet, but Sportrac projects that Worthy will sign a similar contract to Murphy with four years fully-guaranteed and a fifth-year option. Sportrac believes Worthy’s deal will be for $13.8 million with a $6.8 million signing bonus.

Worthy was picked with the 28th overall selection.

T’Vondre Sweat, DT, Tennessee Titans

Any player drafted in rounds 2-7 receives a four-year contract but they do not have the additional fifth-year option.

Sportrac projects Sweat’s deal to be for four years and worth a total of $9.4 million. A $3.7 million signing bonus is a part of his contract.

Sweat was selected by Tennessee with the 38th overall pick in the second round of the draft.

Jonathon Brooks, RB, Carolina Panthers

Brooks signed a four-year, $8.4 million contract with a $2.94 million signing bonus. He has $5.77 million guaranteed in the deal.

Carolina drafted Brooks with the 46th overall pick in the second round.

Adonai Mitchell, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Sportrac projects a four-year deal for Mitchell worth $7.2 million.

Mitchell will wear the No. 10 for Indianapolis due to the 10 receivers taken before him in the 2024 Draft.

Mitchell was picked with the 52nd overall pick in the second round.

Ja’Tavion Sanders, TE, Carolina Panthers

Sanders signed a four-year, $4.89 million contract with a signing bonus of just under $900,000.

Sanders was the No. 101 overall pick in the draft and the first selection in round four.

Christian Jones, OL, Arizona Cardinals

Jones signed a four-year, $4.33 million contract with a $310,456 signing bonus.

Jones was picked No. 162 overall in the fifth round.

Keilan Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Robinson signed his rookie contract with the Jaguars for four years and $4.3 million. He received a signing bonus of $281,956.

Robinson was picked No. 167 overall in the fifth round.

Jaylan Ford, LB, New Orleans Saints

The Saints and Ford agreed to a four-year, $4.2 million contract with a $254,276 signing bonus. His base salary will be $795,000.

Ford was picked No. 175 overall in the fifth round.

Ryan Watts, DB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Watts and the Steelers agreed to a four-year, $4.2 million contract with a $182,684 signing bonus. His base salary will be $795,000.

Watts was picked No. 195 overall in the sixth round.

Jordan Whittington, WR, Los Angeles Rams

According to Sportrac, Whittington is scheduled to earn $4.15 million over the life of his four-year deal.

Whittington was picked No. 213 overall in the sixth round.
