D'antre Robinson announcement thread: Texas vs. Florida
Orlando (Fla.) Jones defensive lineman D’antre Robinson will announce his commitment around 12 p.m. Central time today at Jones High.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder will announce out of Texas and Florida with Alabama and Ohio State rounding out the final four.
Robinson made June official visits to Florida 2-4 and Texas 16-18. He also made unofficial visits to Ohio State and Alabama last month. Alabama head coach Nick Saban offered Robinson after watching him workout at camp.
Inside Texas made a trip to the Sunshine State in May to watch Robinson at a spring practice, along with schools stops at IMG Academy and Tampa Catholic among others.
At that time, the Longhorns and Gators were the considered the top two schools in the recruitment. Nothing has changed since that May visit to Jones High.

Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis and area recruiter Tashard Choice were by Jones High to see Robinson May 16. The duo and Robinson have built a strong relationship, with Davis’ resume of player development being a key for Texas.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian has remained in contact with Robinson leading up to his announcement.
Texas freshmen Cedric Baxter Jr. and Payton Kirkland hosted Robinson on his official visit. Should Robinson pick the Horns today, the very positive reviews of the Orlando area duo’s experience at Texas would also be seen as impactful.
Robinson was dominant on the field as a junior for Jones High. He posted 89 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and nine sacks in 2022.
