The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder chose Texas over close-to-home Florida after making official visits to both schools in June.
Robinson made an official visit to Florida June 2-4 and unofficial visits to Ohio State and Alabama prior to the Texas visit June 16-18. Robinson, who was offered by Alabama after working out for Nick Saban in June, spoke very highly of the Texas visit June 18.
“It was a great visit, especially hanging out with some of my guys from Orlando (Payton Kirkland) and Cedric Baxter,” Robinson told IT June 18. “They are telling me how much they love it and feel like they made the right decision going to Texas. Hosted by CJ, and hung out with (T’Vondre) Sweat.”
The vibe Robinson got from Steve Sarkisian and Bo Davis was one of Texas wanting and needing the Central Florida star.

“The main thing they were saying is that I’m a priority and their No. 1 guy,” said Robinson June 18. “They think I have a great opportunity to come in and play as a freshman and everything.”

Robinson becomes the third prospect from the state of Florida to commit to Texas in the 2024 cycle. He joins four-star running back Jerrick Gibson and three-star punter Michael Kern.
Robinson was dominant as a junior for Jones High. He recorded 89 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and nine sacks in 11 games. His standout junior campaign followed a sophomore season of 48 tackles and 15 tackles for loss.
Excerpt from the Recruiting Notebook
Strengths — Good height for interior line. Could fit at 3-tech or nose. Good ankle, hip and knee bend. Can stay low off the snap and usually displays good leverage. Active hands with some swim/rip moves. Feet are quick and generally stay active. Good straight line speed and change of direction for his size. Delivers a decent stun to the blocker and upper body strength is impressive. Plays head up and is looking to diagnose the play early. Against the run, he flattens out to keep his gap. Shows good play strength at the point of attack. Usually anchors with really good leverage. High motor. Closes the last few yards quickly. In pass situations, will put together legitimate combinations to out leverage the blocker. Productive tackler for an interior lineman.
Areas for Improvement / Concerns — Will get off balance at times trying to string together moves. Consistency.
