Moore, a 5-foot-11, 190 pounder, committed to Oklahoma earlier in his recruitment. He backed out of his OU pledge, and then gave Louisville a commitment on May 31, joining On3 Consensus four-star quarterback and St. John Bosco teammate Pierce Clarkson in the Cardinals’ class. Moore is an early enrollee in the 2023 cycle and will move-in to Austin in January.
Texas moves to No. 3 in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings for 2023 with the signature of Moore.
Moore, the No. 101 overall prospect according to the On3 Consensus, joins fellow receivers Johntay Cook and Ryan Niblett in Texas’ 2023 class. Moore is ranked as the No. 17 wide receiver in the country, and the No. 8 prospect in California according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 high school scouting summary
Quick wide receiver with the burst to create separation and pick up yards after the catch. Measured at around 5-foot-11, 190 pounds prior to his senior season. Has strong long speed, running a wind-legal 10.90 in the 100 meters as a junior. Transferred to Los Alamitos High in California for his junior season, teaming up with fellow blue-chips quarterback Malachi Nelson and wide receiver Makai Lemon. Worked both outside and in the slot, but looks most like a slot long-term. Uses his burst to quickly get upfield after the catch. Shows good contact balance with the ability to bounce out of and break tackles at the second level. Has the ball skills and coordination to finish through contact. Picks up yards as a rusher on speed sweeps. Also plays defensive back for Los Alamitos. Primarily utilized on short passes as a junior averaging 14.5 yards per catch. Not as productive as some of his fellow touted wide receivers to date.
Moore joins a loaded 2023 class for the Texas Longhorns. His signing comes on the heels of a calm, productive day on Wednesday. The On3 Consensus four-star was part of what’s left for UT in the 2023 cycle.
