Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian was asked about Moore during the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday. Moore is dealing with a lingering foot injury.
“He’s progressing this week,” Sarkisian said. “We’ll see if he’ll be ready to go here Saturday, but we’re surely a better team when he’s out there.”
For the season, Moore has 20 catches for 263 yards and five touchdowns. He recorded one reception for -8 yards against Arkansas.
EDGE Colton Vasek, who was out for the Arkansas game, was listed as questionable.
Linebacker Morice Blackwell Jr., who was also out for Arkansas, was listed as questionable.
Defensive back Derek Williams Jr., running back CJ Baxter, running back Christian Clark, and running back Velton Gardner are all out for the rest of the 2024 season.
On the Kentucky side of things, defensive back DJ Waller, defensive back Jantzen Dunn, linebacker Daveren Rayner, defensive back Terhyon Nichols, defensive lineman Darrion Henry-Young, linebacker D’Eryk Jackson, offensive lineman Gerald Mincey, and defensive lineman Tavion Gadson were out.
Offensive lineman Courtland Ford and defensive lineman Kahlil Saunders were questionable.
Linebacker JJ Weaver was listed as probable.
Texas faces Kentucky this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. ABC will televise the contest.
