The 6-foot-9 skilled forward out of Hendrickson High in nearby Pflugerville averaged 8.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocked shots in 2022-23 after getting healthy following a knee surgery that dramatically cut down on his time on the floor in the 2021-22 season in Austin.

Disu scored in double figures 17 times last season, including three double-doubles. During the last 11 games of the season, Disu looked like the player that averaged 15 per game and led the SEC in rebounding in 2019-20 prior to a knee injury. He averaged 14.2 points and 6.8 rebounds over the final 11 games of the season.

That late season run included Big 12 Tournament Most Valuable Player honors and a pair of double-doubles in the NCAA Tournament. In the final five games of the season, Disu averaged 17.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. His saved his best game for last before a foot injury sidelined him for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games. Disu was the difference for the Longhorns in the 71-66 Round of 32 victory over Penn State with a career-high 28 points, along with 10 rebounds.
