ESPN's College GameDay heading to Tuscaloosa for Texas vs. Alabama
The flagship show of college football is heading to Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Saturday, Sept. 9 for the Texas Longhorns’ matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso, and the entire GameDay crew will head to the campus of the University of Alabama for ESPN’s kickoff programming. GameDay will air on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 8-11 a.m. on ESPN ahead of the Longhorns’ Allstate Crossbar Classic matchup with the Crimson Tide which will air at 6 p.m. Central on ESPN.

Texas lost to the Crimson Tide 20-19 in Austin last season in a game GameDay also attended.
This is Texas’ first trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala. since Nov. 18, 1902. The Longhorns defeated the Crimson Tide 10-0.
This will be 21st time the Longhorns have been featured on College GameDay. In addition to the Alabama game in 2022, ESPN returned to the Forty Acres for Texas’ primetime matchup with the TCU Horned Frogs in November. The Longhorns lost that game 17-10.
